Christophorus House Retirement Village (CHRV) is a very special senior living community in Hornsby, New South Wales, Australia.
Our 23 independent living units, and a 24 bed Aged Care facility are situated amidst tranquil gardens in a peaceful village setting.
Our location offers convenient access to required services such as public transport, shops, clubs, medical centres and hospitals.
Our small size in comparison to other senior care facilities engenders a community spirit where everyone is valued. We aim to make retirement living at CHRV as enjoyable and comfortable as possible whilst meeting the dignity of each individual resident, as well as their wellbeing in physical, social, psychological and spiritual terms.

Independent Living
Self Care units for independent self contained living
There are 23 Self Care units for independent self contained living, 19 of which are two bedrooms (or one bedroom with a study) and four are one bedroom only.
Units are designed for ground level access with no stairs. Ramps are also provided for ease of access to most of the units. Depending upon availability, a carport is provided at no additional cost.

Helga Forster House is a group residence for aged people who, because of frailty or disability are unable to stay in their own homes and need some daily help. Residents enjoy a comfortable, secure and homelike environment with the opportunity to maintain as much independence as possible.
Residents have their own bed-sitting room with ensuite bathroom, area for tea making, built-in furniture and emergency call buttons. There are common rooms and lounges. Meals are served in a central dining room. Staff are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Our philosophy guides us to provide a total care facility within an active community. Your level of care is entirely your choice, from independent living with visiting practitioners and 24 hour emergency call systems through to high care supported living facility onsite, we provide peace of mind for all stages of life.
The difference between CHRV and other retirement destinations is that our village is especially sensitive to the changing needs of our residents. We focus on offering the added services of assisted and higher level care from trained professionals on site.
